Focus Lower

I have worked hard to nail down eye focus when my little ones are wearing hats (especially with brims). My tips is to focus a little lower than you think you should. I focus on the nose to get the eyes in focus and not the tip of the hat. Here is a shot with a very shallow DOF, but notice the eyes are still in focus.
